Baroness Ruth Henig Scholarship

To honour the legacy of our late president, Baroness Ruth Henig CBE JP DL, The Security Institute is pleased to announce the official launch of the Baroness Ruth Henig Scholarship Programme.

This initiative is designed to enable and encourage the next generation of talented young security professionals and give them the tools to succeed.

The key structure of the programme is as follows:

👉 A bursary of up to £500 for or towards an approved training or academic course within the security field, for up to 10 individuals.

👉 Complimentary Student/Affiliate Membership of the Security Institute for a year.

👉 Access to webinars and additional training sessions in protective security

👉 Free membership of the Scholarship Alumni

👉 Attendance at an alumni graduation event

 

♦ The scholarship criteria

👉 Applicant must be between 18 and 31.

👉 Applicant must be over 18 and meet the entry requirement of the course.

👉 Applicants must be able to participate and complete the full scholarship programme and sign the scholarship agreement.

👉 Applicant must have the right to work in the UK

♦ Diversity Driver

As we are keen to increase diversity within the security profession, we would therefore like at least 50% of our scholarship delegates to be female and 20% from black or minority ethnic communities. However, while this is the driver, we welcome applications from anyone who meets the criteria.
