Careers

The Security Institute can support your career development throughout your working life in a number of different ways from the time you first choose to join the security sector.

Establish your personal profile by attending events and building up your network of professional contacts; signing up for the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme; applying for revalidation in order to move to a higher grade of membership; or searching the jobs board below for open vacancies posted by our Recruitment Partners.

Influence others with your experience and knowledge. Use the opportunity to give something to ensure development in the sector by joining one of the Institute’s working groups, such as the Validation Board; contributing articles for one of the many trade press we work with; preparing and delivering presentations at Institute events, or at events staged by our Exhibition Partners; offering help and advice on a one-to-one basis by volunteering as a mentor in our mentoring scheme; representing the Institute on external committees and working groups; or applying to the Register of Chartered Security Professionals.
