The Security Institute can support your professional and personal development to enhance your career in a number of ways from the time you initially join The Security Institute.
How do we do this?
We encourage members to establish their profile by attending events and building a supportive network of professional contacts; participating in the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme; applying for revalidation in order to move to a higher grade of membership; or searching the jobs board for open vacancies posted by our Recruitment Partners.
Influencing others with your experience and knowledge and by joining one of the Institute’s working groups, such as the Validation Board or by representing The Security Institute on one of the many external committees. Members can also contribute by articles for one of the many trade press we work with or preparing and delivering presentations at Institute events, or ones hosted by our Exhibition Partners.
Volunteering as a mentor in our mentoring scheme is very rewarding, or preparing to apply for the Register of Chartered Security Professionals.
