Fellowship of the Security Institute is the highest grade awarded by the Board of Directors. It is reserved only for those individuals whose outstanding contributions to the field of security elevates them above and beyond their peers.
Fellows come from across all sectors of security and possess a wealth of knowledge and experience that cannot be rivalled.
In order to become a Fellow, you must fulfil the following criteria:
– You must have held membership at Member level for 2 years immediately prior to application
– You must have completed formal CPD for a minimum of 2 years immediately prior to application via the Institute’s own CPD Scheme or that of another recognised relevant body
A total of 61+ points are required which must include minimum scores of:
– 10 points from middle/senior security management experience
– 6 points from security related qualifications and;
– 10 points from activities recognised under the Professional Commitment section.
Individuals seeking to upgrade their membership status must first contact their membership registrar so that their original validation score can be assessed and then advice will be given on what path to take to attain Fellowship.
