About the role:

  •  Sell the range of security training courses, and consulting services, to clients, both new and existing
  •         Working as part of the Senior Management Team, developing and supporting the strategic direction of the business

  •         Build and maintain an in-depth understanding of our target audience and their competitors
  •         Manage, retain and develop existing clients
  •         Attend industry seminars, events and exhibitions as required (UK and internationally)

Role overview

Our Farnborough office is at the centre of our business growth strategy and is home to our new software factory, one of our bid and proposal centre’s and various programmes for which Leidos is the prime contractor to UK Government. On-going expansion of our business and dedicated security function means that we have exciting opportunity for a Deputy Site Security Controller to join our team.

Keeping our people, facility, assets and systems safe and secure is the primary focus of this well-established role, along with maintaining the necessary security accreditations and certifications required of us as a UK Government supplier. The incumbent will be at the centre of all on-site activities and programmes providing the full scope of protective security services and controls to ensure compliance with the Security Policy Framework, ISO 27001, Security Aspects Letters and other contractual security obligations such as DEFCON and DEFSTAN.

You will report directly into the Leidos UK Head of Security and be accountable for security operations within this key Leidos facility.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who has previous experience of managing or supporting the security operation within a facility of similar nature.

Skills Required:

  • Responsible for the entire security operation of this facility, the incumbent will be required to demonstrate detailed knowledge of the Security Policy Framework and managing assets against the Government Security Classifications Scheme and contractual security aspects letters
  • The incumbent will be key to developing and maintaining a strong on-site security posture and therefore must be proficient at undertaking security risk assessments and proposing risk mitigations for all areas of protective security
  • Experience of developing and successfully implementing security policies and procedures to ensure the secure operation of our business is essential such that security is a business enabler
  • Maintaining our compliance with UK Government security frameworks and existing UK Government accreditations and certifications requires a security professional who is proficient in the interpretation and application of the required standards
  • Competency in incident management and leading investigations
  • Exemplary engagement with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain a strong security culture and focus
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritise workload in an agile working environment without compromising the security of our organisation and customers.
  • Formal security qualification and training or military/policing equivalent experience is essential

Desirable Skills:

  • Working knowledge of ISO 27001 is advantageous but not essential for this role
  • Previous experience of conducting internal compliance audits would be advantageous
  • Cryptographic Custodian duties and therefore formal training and certification is required but can be provided

The Principle Advisor Risk and Reporting sits on the security leadership team and reports to the Head of Security. Using a variety of sources provides insights to support tactical decision-making and strategic analysis to inform business decisions.

The Role

  • 12-Month Fixed Term Contract, 4 weeks on 2 weeks off rotation.
  • To collect, confirm, analyze and interpret information regarding security risks.
  • Write concise reports that cover security developments in Guinea and the wider Africa region that may have an impact on the business.

The Role

  • Interact with all business areas and disciplines to ensure the consistent application of policies and standards across all projects, systems, and services; facilitate risk assessments and risk management processes.

The Role

  • Review and update all security policies, plans and procedures for the project and company office.
  • Conduct audits of contracted Private Security Companies to ensure compliance.
  • Draft technical security scopes of work for new locations and facilities ports rail lines and offices in support of the two security managers.
  • Implementation of security measures by implementing partners at the port and rail yards.
  • Tests plans and procedures through the arrangement of scheduled exercises.
  • Maintain the security team action tracker and manage regular reviews, identifying obstacles that need support.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with law enforcement agencies that can directly support office and accommodation locations.
  • Conduct VPSHR risk assessments when necessary for interactions with PSF.
  • Design develop and implement a comprehensive VPSHR training plan for security stakeholders on the project, including business partners.
  • Provide close protection support to senior leaders visiting the site.

Residential Security Officer

Job Details

Our client is looking expand the team responsible for ensuring the security for this prestigious and unique location.  They are looking for dedicated security professionals who have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

Candidates must have a strong background in security ideally corporate security (police/military an advantage). 

The principal responsibility of the team is the discreet but effective provision of security throughout the Estate; oversight is achieved 24/7 by use of CCTV and alarm monitoring and recorded mobile and foot patrols, with particular attention to the main house and park in which it stands. In carrying out, duties operatives will be required to display the highest standards of integrity and discretion. Visitors, members of the public, media and all other employees and tenants will be dealt with courteously and diplomatically.

Duties consist of one week on – one week off -covering separate day and night shifts of 12 hours.
Four weeks leave and a standing payment to cover Bank Holidays worked
£32,000 a year- plus scope for overtime- food and clothing allowance
Accommodation provided for the week on shift with facilities to cook food
All operatives will need a clean UK driving licence
