As National Security Manager responsible for a prestigious client in London you will manage the security team in the delivery of exceptional customer service and mitigating risks to assets, people and reputation through a range of security solutions. A major part of the role will be to support on projects with high-level client engagement.
 
Key Responsibilities include:

  • By having a full understanding of the client’s needs, you will drive consistency throughout the management of the contract.
  • Maintain and develop the relationship with principal stakeholders and be the single point of contact for the client.
  • Maintain a high-quality physical security presence in accordance with the agreed contract.
  • Ensure all buildings are rostered and staffed.
  • Ensure every member of the security workforce are trained, vetted and licensed in accordance with the Private Security Industry Act 2001, BS 7499 and BS7858.
  • Produce KPI reports and performance reports. Additionally, produce ad hoc reports as required e.g., local audits, manpower proposals, etc.
  • Compile the quarterly business reviews and attend the quarterly contract review meeting.
  • Attendance at monthly regional security/facilities meetings, recording and timely distribution of minutes of the meetings.
  • Interaction with the client Crisis and Security management team to develop and implement best practice.
  • Maintenance of safe working practices and H & S procedure to ensure that staff are not subject to unnecessary or unacceptable risks.
  • Act as an afterhours driving the Risk point of contact for any emergency and attend any client office which is subject to an emergency.
  • Work with client and act as POC in managing risk approach to security requirements driving the Risk Management agenda on behalf of the client.
  • Ensure that regular risk assessments and security reviews are carried out.
  • Carry out investigations and security audits as required.
  • The implementation and development of security strategy.
  • Be proactive in seeking security improvements through intelligent manning plans, innovation and the use of technology.
  • To create and maintain a holistic approach to security.

The Person:
 

  • Strong experience of working within a similar position with evidence operating at a senior level.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to lead by example allied with good interpersonal and social skills are all equally important.

This is an exceptional opportunity to work for our client a service provider to the UK public sector. They seek a Senior Information Security Manager to lead develop and enhance the Information Security Management System (ISMS), planning activities to ensure the organisation maintains ISO 27001 certification. In this critical role the post holder will provide information security leadership and strategic direction, modelling the organisation’s behaviours and values.

The Role

  • Interact with all business areas and disciplines to ensure the consistent application of policies and standards across all projects, systems, and services; facilitate risk assessments and risk management processes.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to raise awareness of risk management concerns.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and accreditation standards that affect information security and recommend any relevant change requirements to the organisation’s policies, procedures, and ways of working.
  • Keep technical skills current in the context of the technical infrastructure deployed across the business, as well as surveying the future technical landscape to advise on the vulnerabilities and countermeasures required to mitigate risks in future technical architectures.
  • Ensure an adequate information security education programme is delivered to all employees and contractors.

  • Develop a good knowledge of the business to advise and agree with the SIRO the level of risk appetite for the company and to inform accreditation decisions.
  • Take responsibility for the information security accreditation process across the whole of the business, including managing a programme of accreditation activity and actions, providing regular assurance reports to the Head of RISC, the SIRO, and appropriate Committees.

The Person

  • You will have previous experience working in information security with substantial experience in information, risk management, and cyber security.
  • A demonstrable record of the practical application of information security, and risk management.
  • Extensive experience of leading an Information Security team with a strong understanding of best practice, techniques and technologies and provide opportunities for improvement, identifying and managing risk.
  • Professional security management certification e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC.
  • Solid understanding of ISO 27001 and experience of successful implementation and maintenance this certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, and high level of personal integrity.

The Role

  • 12-Month Fixed Term Contract, 4 weeks on 2 weeks off rotation.
  • The Principle Advisor Business Resilience sits on the security leadership team and reports to the Head of Security. Ensures that the business is prepared for emergency scenarios, in conformance with the Group Business Resilience Standard.
  • Acts as the Business Resilience Team Coordinator.

The Person

  • Previous experience in a similar role working as a business resilience lead.

About the role


We are looking for an experienced manager to join our Security and Logistics team as Deputy Head of Security, Emergency Planning and Logistics. The role will encompass helping to ensure a secure and safe environment where all people can equally work, study and visit without threat or fear.

They will work with our security provider to ensure that security resources determined in contract schedule are deployed by the them is to the high standard expected. They will ensure that we maintain compliance, especially with respect of forthcoming ‘Protect Duty Legislation’ and implement best practice across Museum department to protect our people, buildings and collections.

They will help to implement delivery of the site logistics strategy helping the Estates, Master Planning and Projects department deliver their complex and demanding schedule of exhibitions and building projects.

They will also help to implement and maintain the Museum’s Business Continuity Management System and emergency and incident management procedures. Leading on the maintenance and exercising of plans ensuring that teams regularly review, test and appropriately document these processes.

About you

You will have experience of managing a security service, ideally within a large, high-profile visitor attraction or similar environment. You will be able to demonstrate good contract management, particularly within the security industry.

You will have demonstrable experience in managing security systems in a busy control room, and sound experience in planning for complex events and VIP visits.

You will have excellent organisational skills and be able to manage a small team of logistics professionals to ensure that projects do not get delayed through poor logistical outputs.

Knowledge of good practice in incident, crisis and business continuity management in a complex environment is essential.

Ideally, you will have knowledge of Designing Out Crime, Crime Prevention through Environmental Design and Secured by Design principles and how these can be implemented in a museum environment.

Senior Consultant

Job purpose

  • Lead and manage security design consulting engagements to a professional standard; independently and/or in support of other Senior Consultants, and the Associate Director.
  • Support the Director to develop the practice, develop business, create intellectual property, achieve strategic objectives, and train and mentor junior team members.
  • Engage in business development activities and strategy for the security design engineering department across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, supported by the CSC senior management team.
  • Maintain client and company deliverables, ensuring that high quality is maintained, and the client and company budgets and programs are met and maintained.
  • Develop and build new and existing client relationships, facilitating where appropriate the introduction and provision of additional Control Risks services.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Consulting

  • Undertake technical security reviews, audits, design surveys, installation inspections and approvals, and other similar tasks, working at client sites and in the office
  • Design of physical and electronic security systems to an appropriate level, working in conjunction with specialist engineers within project design teams

Task management

  • Act as the lead consultant on assignments, owning problems and providing problem-solving at the local level
  • Lead and participate in client and project meetings
  • Add value to client projects and be the client’s trusted advisor
  • Ensure that practices, policies, strategies, and services represent the client’s best interest
  • Maintain and develop long-term client relationships; act in conjunction with key account managers
  • Maintain accurate financial forecasting, project planning, resource planning, and financial reporting
  • Maintain time and expense records to ensure accurate invoicing within each month

Task delivery

  • Delivery of tasks for clients on time, on budget, and to high sandard
  • Work collaboratively with the entire team and draw on their experiences and opinions
  • From time to time the role may involve travel to client sites and Control Risks offices within the Middle East, Europe and Africa

Business development

  • Pro-actively seek opportunities to develop projects and business
  • Seek opportunities to be involved in business development, in conjunction with the Associate Director and Director
  • Contribute to marketing and profile-raising events
  • Participate in client meetings
  • Develop long-term client relationships

Team / practice development

  • Develop and mentor junior staff, maximising utilisation of resources
  • Provide expert knowledge of security consulting and other Control Risks service lines

Requirements

  • Thorough previous experience as a security design consultant
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver consulting engagements
  • Thorough knowledge of current national and international standards and installation practices
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in designing physical security systems including fencing, gates, walls, doors, and facades
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in designing integrated electronic security systems including perimeter intruder detection, video surveillance, video analytics, ANPR, access control, intercoms, security control rooms
  • Depth and breadth of understanding and experience in delivering physical and electronic security design consulting across all RIBA Plan of Work stages within multiple sectors within the built environment
  • Substantial Project Management experience relating to security consulting and installations within the built environment
  • Strong interpersonal/relationship building/client management skills
  • Commercially astute when planning and pricing projects in terms of time, resource and outcomes
  • Proven experience in effectively assisting, reviewing, and providing feedback to team members and improving output

As the Information Security Manager, you’ll be responsible for establishing the right security and governance practices and enabling a framework for risk-free and scalable business operations in the Nuclear New Build (NNB) SZC construction. You’ll focus on understanding the security challenges in the current and future state of business operations, mapping learning from NNB Hinkley Point C (HPC) Project and preparing the SZC Project organisation with the right resources against growing cyber and information security risks.

Our teams are set up to work flexibly, therefore you don’t have to live in London or Gloucester. If you’re able to travel to the London or Gloucester office to collaborate with your team and stakeholders when required, you can be based anywhere in the UK. The Role

 

We’re looking for someone to engage with the overall organisational data strategy, information governance and advise on the best data management and governance approach, aligning data privacy with business objectives ensuring information security safeguards are effective.

 

Working in collaboration with the Technical Services Organisation (TSO), you’ll develop the Operational Technology (OT) Security Plan, establish policy and define IT requirements including Instrumentation and Control (I&C) as part of the wider CS&IA strategy.

 

The role will allow you evaluate the Information Technology Threat landscape, devise policies and controls to reduce risk and lead auditing and compliance initiatives.

 

You’ll be responsible for ensuring that Supply Chain Cyber Security puts in place appropriate Cyber Security and Information Security risk management and assurance that meet the required standards.

 

The Skills

 

It is expected that you are educated to degree level (or equivalent) or have a comparable level of practical experience.

Good working knowledge of applicable international standards and information security frameworks (ISO27001, ISO27017, GDPR, Cyber Essentials Plus) is essential.

You’ll have developed your skills within the Nuclear sector where your cyber security credentials as well as knowledge of Civil Nuclear Cyber Security have been proven.

You must understand CPNI and NCSC material including assurance of supply chain activities.

You’ll bring your proven experience of NIS Regulations and Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF).

It would be great if are aware of risk assessment methodologies including ISO27005 and NIST.

An understanding of HMG Security Policy Framework is highly desirable.

As a Personnel Security Lead (Assurance), you’ll be accountable for the intelligent replication of the Hinkley Point (C) (HPC) Personnel Security Regime (PSR) within the Nuclear Site Security Plan (NSSP) and security case for Nuclear New Build (NNB) Sizewell C (SZC). This role carries responsibility for IC control of End 2 End (E2E) contractual requirements including List N and holding and maintaining the regulatory interface for Personnel Security for the SZC Project.

The Role

 

With the support of the Security manager, you’ll ensure the Sizewell C Project’s overall security arrangements meet the required regulatory, legal requirements and align with standards.

You’ll oversee cross licencee coordination of and business change management to the Sizewell C Workforce Information Management (WIMS) system used for the onboarding, pre-employment checks and vetting of all SZC Personnel.

We’re looking for someone to liaise closely with the TCO Central Vetting Service and Personnel Security Lead (Site) to specify Personnel Security WIMS requirements for business architecture development and ongoing management of business change.

You’ll hold responsibility to respond to changes in legislation, regulation and standards and advise the licencee on the risk balance case in line with SZC’s Values of nuclear safety, zero harm and business risk appetite.

The role will allow you design, manage and maintain personnel security categorisation, audit and inspection tools on Insight, ensuring maximum effective use of this project organisational learning tool aligned with the assurance and performance reporting functionality built into SZC WIMS.

 

The Skills

 

You’re likely to have knowledge in providing security guidance and undertaking personnel security vulnerability assessments using CPNI recognised methodologies.

Good understanding and practical experience of managing complex security threats including terrorist and insider would be beneficial.

You’ll bring your proven ability to assimilate rapidly pertinent information from a variety of sources (written and spoken) and recommend clear courses of action.

It would be great if you have proven experience of external stakeholder management at senior level with Government, regulators and other Governmental agencies.

You may have experience in delivering Personnel Security in a previous reputable security role (armed forces, police, Home Office, civil nuclear industry or similar private or public sector environment).

You must currently hold or be able to achieve DV vetting.
