What do I need in order to deliver this role?

What are the key responsibilities of the Control Room First Line Manager role?

As a Control Room First Line Manager you will play a key role to provide first line management to deliver excellent visitor and security services through a team of staff and day to day security operational services within the Security Control Room; and in ensuring the safety and security of the UK’s number one visitor attraction, protecting the Museum, its visitors, staff and collection.

About the Role

The global response to cyber threats is fragmented. While governments, industry and researchers continue to develop different approaches to mitigate threats, threat actors in cyberspace are becoming more aggressive and inventive. Cyber risks will only increase in the coming years, owing to the Internet of Things and global tech-dependency. It has never been more important for the global cyber community to work together to achieve the cyber security needed in an uncertain future.

The RUSI cyber security programme supports UK and international strategic responses to cyber security challenges. Research and knowledge sharing are aimed at both policymakers and practitioners. RUSI wishes to appoint a Research Analyst to work across its cyber security portfolio. This will initially be offered as a one year fixed term contract with a start date of October 2020. There is potential to extend beyond that by mutual agreement. The successful applicant will support a research programme dedicated to global cyber security challenges. They will specifically work on ongoing projects relating to the globalisation of technology and/or cyber risk management incentives. The RUSI Cyber Research Group operates as a collaborative team and, while the successful candidate will focus on specific projects, they will also need to work successfully in a team environment.
