enteles Search is excited to be partnered with a well-regarded and expanding consultancy firm who, following continued growth, are seeking a Security Risk Consultant to join their team.
The role will involve working in Europe and potentially further afield on both commercial and government projects, providing services including:
- Threat Intelligence Reports – Defining the intents and capabilities of threat actors and events
- Risk, Threat, & Vulnerability (RTV) Assessments – Defining risks and appropriate mitigation
- Geo-political Risk Assessments – RTVs written at regional and country levels
- Security Reviews and Audits of Client Sites – Conducted with technical security colleagues
- Operational Requirement (OR) Reports – Defining the minimum requirements of mitigation
- Blast Assessments – Conducted with civil engineers and blast specialists
- Global Policy and Procedures Reviews – Defining corporate policies and SOPs
Within projects you will provide leadership within a team of other Security Risk Consultants, specialist security professionals, and sub-contracted service providers who will also be delivering threat and risk-related services. You will be expected to delegate directly to associate-level colleagues supporting their role.
You should be able to assist with the writing of bids, responding to RFPs, attending product pitches and presentations, and liaising with current and new clients. An understanding of the sales and marketing strategy to be able to inform current and new clients of the products and services available, is useful.
Candidate Profile:
- You should have held a role previously where conducting threat and risk analyses was a specifically defined (and trained) task inherent to the role. Analyses will have ideally been done at the operational and tactical levels. Analyses will have been informed by sound research methodologies gained through a formally recognised security training program.
- Prior experience of commercial security consulting is preferred that includes the management of project work, ideally with some international exposure.
- You should have a formal education in a relevant subject such as security or international relations. The course curriculum should encompass aspects of geography, economics, international relations, and politics as they relate to security affairs. This education must be sufficient to enable you to write comprehensive Risk, Threat, & Vulnerability (RTV) reports at the international, state, and city levels. Historically, successful candidates for this role have held MSc-level qualifications; however, this is not required. A principal qualification for the role will be the ability to manage reports of 50-70 pages in length, presenting clear, relevant information to commercial clients.
- You should demonstrate sufficient knowledge of commercial project delivery that he/she will be able to understand and contribute to the commercial growth of the business.
- Ideally, the you will have completed a formally accredited project management course (preferably PRINCE2) to better understand and take leading roles in projects in controlled environments.
