Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal accepted Royal Patronage of The Security Institute for an initial period of three years and looks forward to supporting the Security Institute in its future work.
Her Royal Highness recognises the unique and valued work that The Security Institute carries out across all levels within the profession, and its various initiatives, including the youth engagement programme #NextGen, which partners with various Foundations; Charities and the Volunteer Police Cadets.
It is also well documented that Her Royal Highness is interested in matters relating to public safety, security and that of national security evidenced through military affiliations as well as a number of charities and Patronages.
Security Institute President Baroness Henig CBE DL said:
“This is a huge accolade for the Institute in recognition of the work we undertake. I am delighted to welcome The Princess Royal as our Royal Patron. The Institute is the UK’s largest professional membership body for security professionals, with over 4,000 members to date, and expanding global reach. Since 1999 the Security Institute has been working to promote the highest possible standards of integrity and professional competence in the business of security.”
