Helping on an exhibition stand is something we haven’t been able to promote for a while for obvious
reasons, but with three major security events planned for September, there has never been a better
time to volunteer to help on the Institute’s stand for a couple of hours. Whilst the HQ team will have
all the practical answers to how to join, costs etc. there is nothing better than to hear first-hand
testimonials about what being a SyI member means, to encourage more applicants. And you will
always meet other members too, which will grow your own network. Talk to Ben at HQ if you’d like to
know more. Score 2 hours on stand = 1 point, plus 1 point for attending an exhibition.

And finally, if you are actively engaged in community projects such as Neighbourhood Watch, or on
a wider scale such as Army/Navy/RAF Reservist, Special Constable or Justice of the Peace, then your
training and participation will also count. Score 1 hour = 1 point.
