As cloud-based systems become more commonplace and offer new functionality, they will become
more common on-site. Although they offer services that are like existing systems, there are subtle
differences, and new skills may be required to install and operate them and this can pose an issue for
security professionals. Additional care must be taken to ensure that they are deployed legally, securely,
and reliably but they can offer significant savings and flexibility for both security operators and
customers alike.
