Introducing the new Registrars for the CSyP Carl Dakin QGM CSyP MSc FSyI – Deputy Registrar
Following a full military career Carl transitioned into the commercial
environment in 2013 and established a small consulting business that
provides protective security and emergency management services to
clients worldwide. His skill set includes the delivery of tabletop
exercises, training, and education design and delivery, which has
enabled him to continue his passion for learning and facilitating
educational programmes whilst remaining current with industry best
practices.
His experience is underpinned by solid academic qualifications: a
Foundation Degree in Protective Security Management, a Master’s
Degree in Business Continuity, Security and Emergency Management, Carl Dakin
a Level 5 Certificate in Work Based Learning, as well as a suite of Deputy Registrar
relevant vocational qualifications in health & safety, and crowd
management. He is a Chartered Security Professional – admitted to
the Register in 2017, a Fellow of the Security Institute and is
currently an active member of the Board of Directors – until April
2024 and sponsoring director of the Protest & Activism Special
Interest Group (SIG), Protecting People in Crowded Places SIG and is a
member of the Counter Terrorism and the Built Environment SIGs.
We would like to thank the past Registrar David Gill CSyP FSyI and Deputy Registrar’s
Garry Evanson CSyP FSyI & Stuart Williams CSyP FSyI for their hard work and
contributions to the Register.
