The Register of Chartered Security Professionals BBQ

On the 25th of July 2023, we welcomed members to our Becoming Chartered: Membership and CSyP
BBQ event at Doggett’s Coat and Badge in London. Everyone received an inclusive drink of choice from the
bar, and a delicious BBQ on the rooftop terrace of this Central London venue, as well as the opportunity to
network and gain valuable CPD points.

This event was a fantastic success with 30 attendees. This included The Security Institute Chair Julie Nel
MSyI, the then Deputy Chair Frank Cannon CSyP FSyI, as well as Director Peter Lavery FSyI. Carl Dakin CSyP
FSyI was also all in attendance, the Register of Chartered Security Professionals Deputy Registrar and The
Security Institute Director. This event provided attendees the perfect opportunity to meet and network with
other industry professionals. It also provided an opportunity for those new to the Register to learn and
understand more about what is involved in becoming a Chartered Security Professional.
