             Libby Jackson, UK Space Agency
Libby Jackson was the afternoon speaker for the Thursday of
the virtual conference week. Libby covered the UK’s work in
Human space flight within a historical context of global space
exploration, going on to discuss the policies and strategies that
are being implemented as well as the UK’s plans for the future.

Libby explored some of the topical challenges facing the space
industry including the emergence of commercial space flight
and then the ambitions for a mission to Mars. All of these
developments within the space industry present a new frontier
for security, and Libby touched on a range of security and safety
considerations that must be assessed by security practitioners
such as the fact that communications are considerably delayed
between those in space and those on Earth.
