             Occupation:
             Retired Deputy Director of Physical Security & Head of Security Crises
             and Incidents – Thales UK.


             Security, Board Director and Other Relevant Experience:
             Tony was a career Police Officer for 27 years working primarily in the
             fields of drugs trafficking and intelligence. He followed that by entering
             the UK Defence Industry working as the primary link with Special
             Branch, UK Security Services and military security organisations.

             Previously, Tony was Chairman of the Defence Industry Security Association (DISA) and a council
             member with the joint Foreign Office, Dept of Trade, Cabinet Office and industry initiative,
             Security Information Services for Business Overseas (SISBO).


             Tony has served as a Board Director since 2018 chairing the Validation Board (VB) since that time
             and the Remuneration Committee since 2019.


             Date of Joining the Institute: 2007

             Previous Security Institute Involvement:
             •       Member of the VB since 2010.
             •       Elected as Fellow 2011.
             •       Vice-Chair of VB since 2012.
             •       Chair of the Validation Board Working Group from 2014 to 2018.
             •       Member of the Membership Management Advisory Group since 2017.
             •       Member Board of Directors since 2018.
             •       Chair of Validation Board since 2018.
             •       Chair of Remuneration Committee since 2019.


             Areas of Interest in the Institute:
             •  Promoting the Institute as the foremost security membership organisation.
             •  Future management, including strategic development and direction, of the VB.
             •  Value-added membership benefits.
             •  Increasing the recognition of security professionalism within the industry.
             •  Ensuring that Institute Regulations and Articles of Association remain relevant and fit for
                 purpose as the organisation aspires to receive Royal Chartership.

             Personal Comment:
             Having gained extensive knowledge, skills and experience in two security careers, I am
             committed to utilising those attributes for the continuing evolvement of the Security Institute,
             where I have served as a Board Director for the last 3 years. This has enabled me to support and
             contribute to the organisation’s strategic development, benefiting the Institute and members
             alike.
