Seven Business Goals were agreed and published, and an Implementation Plan prepared for 2020. This will focus
activity into key areas, with plans to launch sub-committees to work on each of these areas which are:

Broaden Awareness: Increase awareness of the CSyP certification and brand in Government, military/police and commercial
communities, as well as to the wider business and professional community.

Develop Links: Forge links with relevant professional bodes in both the public and private sectors, including relevant Government,
                   military/police and commercial communities.

Improve Benefits: Develop the perceived worth of being chartered, so that certification becomes more appealing for applicants and of
greater benefit to individuals, employers and clients.

Recruit more CSyPs: Increase the number of Chartered Security Professionals.

International Engagement: Establish an International footing.

Make a Difference: Provide opportunities for our strategic thinking and eminently knowledgeable CSyPs to influence and shape the
                   future for the security profession.

Futureproof the Register: Plan and deliver the governance, administration and continual development of the Register of Chartered
                   Security Professionals.

The requirements for Individual pathway applicants
were reviewed and changes made to the portfolio
           requirements, which has proven successful.
Applicants following this route are now required to
work from a standard list of questions, and have
two months in which to research and submit three
essays. In 2020, nearly 50% of all new CSyPs have
come via the Individual pathway compared with just
one in 2019 and none in 2018. This is almost like a
new application strand, and it is certainly generating
much more success than in recent years.

The CSyP website was developed to include
testimonials, ecommerce, news, events and a
community page. CSyPs also continue to have their
own private LinkedIn group, and a Twitter feed was
launched. Good communications are important, and
a mixture of newsletters, briefings and CSyP diary of
           events was launched.

Opportunities for CSyPs to support their Register will be widened in 2020 – at present they are limited to recruitment assessments,
where nearly 30 CSyPs continue to donate time and share experience. Two training sessions were organised for additional Document
and Interview Assessors, resulting in 12 CSyPs being added to the assessment panels.

All RCSP Documentation is part of the SyI Quality Management System, and underwent a successful ISO 9001 Audit in 2019. Three
CSPRA management meetings were held, including representatives of WCoSP, SyI, ASIS UK, Legal advisor and the Register for Security
           Engineers and Specialists (RSES).

At time of writing, the 2020 full year application targets have almost been met, and we are not halfway through the year. We are
regularly advising other organisations on how they may better support this ultimate mark of professionalism, and hope to attract
further applications through them for this gold-standard certification.
