Our HQ Team
The Institute has evolved considerably in the last year in line with our growing strategic aspirations, and the talents and diversity of our
staff team have been pivotal to our success. The team carries out a wide range of activities in support of our purpose, and regularly go
the extra mile to give our members a great experience. We have nine members of staff who are responsible for the Institute’s day-to-day
management and operations:
Rick Mounfield CSyP FSyI - Chief Executive

Rick is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the Institute, in line with
its mission, vision, aims and strategy. He makes decisions in all matters affecting the operations,
performance and strategy implementation of the Institute, except for those matters reserved
for the Board. Rick previously served in the Royal Military Police, completing his service as a
Regimental Sergeant Major and receiving a Meritorious Service Medal from HM the Queen, and
then worked in the UHNW security arena.
Paula Stanbridge - Membership Registrar

Paula Stanbridge’s role as Membership Registrar is to manage the complete joining process
- from encouraging potential new members to join, assisting them throughout the joining
process and setting up memberships once approved by the Validation Board. Paula works
closely with, and supports the work of the Validation Board to ensure that all applications are
thoroughly reviewed and graded to accurately reflect an applicant’s experience, qualifications
and professional commitment. Paula joined the Institute in 2008, through the merger with the
International Institute of Security where she was the Membership Secretary.
Helen Corbett - Office Manager

Helen has been with the Security Institute for the past 7 years, firstly as the Senior Administrator
and then in May 2017, she was promoted to Office Manager. Helen is responsible for the running
of HQ, particularly finance, quality, HR and administration. As the Institute grows so does the team,
and Helen works hard to promote staff welfare and safety for all members of the team. Helen’s
employment history over the last 20 years has been in various roles including HR when she first
qualified in 2003 with a CIPD HR Qualification through Henley College. She has recently refreshed
her HR knowledge and completed a CIPD Foundation Certificate in Human Resource Practice.
Jade Lapper - Engagement Manager

Jade joined the Security Institute last year as the Membership Engagement Manager. She oversees
the Marketing and Events functions whilst also leading on a number of major projects, including
our new programme of free, online security education webinars, and the Institute Quarterly
Magazine. Jade has been working in Events and Marketing since 2013 when she started her career
as a Wedding coordinator, she progressed in the hospitality sector to Sales Manager for Compass
UK & Ireland where she managed a sales and marketing budget for a UK venue before transferring
those skills to her current position.
